Max Tannone from NYC has dropped a couple of bomb assed mash-up album. He gained notoriety with his first mixing Jay-Z lyrics over Radiohead beat – Jaydiohead… its dope.
Now he’s gone and done did it again with Mos Dub – Mos Def lyrics over dub beats – and it works a treat. Get onto this guy – more stuff at his SoundCloud.

Christmas time!

On behalf of the whole team here at the Bootleg Blog (me) I’m wishing you and yours a very happy and merry Christmas (or whatever your religion does this time of year).
To celebrate the holiday season i’ve got a couple of Xmas tunes for youse to download and drop tonight.

The first comes from funk breaks heavyweights the Fort Knox Five. These guys are leaders in this genre and nice guys to boot. They’ve given us a lovely little dubbed out xmas theme which will be beautiful if listened to whilst sitting on a bear skin rug next to an open fire, whilst the snow falls quietly outside. Or next to the aircon if your’e in the southern hemi.

After that we have Prato returning to the Bootleg Blog with an awesome electro-ish nu-funk jam which uses the Christmas sample (and spirit) really well.

Ill have a few jams for you before NYE to crank out before the decade ends, but until then, Merry Christmas to you all from the Bootleg Blogger.
