Sorry i’ve been a bit slack on the posts lately, but i’ve been hella busy with Miles Dysons’ Aus tour just finishing and now preparing to tour Lazy Rich and SKisM in a couple of weeks – check out my agency – Double Agency for more info.

But new projects are in the works. My good friend D*Funk and I are starting our own funk label called: Grits & Gravy. Bashin out party bangers is the name of the game here and we’ve decided to kick it off with a funky fresh freebie for you!

Mixes for your Funky Friday!

A couple of funky, bootleg laden sets for you today to kick off your weekend and get you in the party mode. This is the first in our mix series, mixed back in 2006 by The Bootleg Brothers (myself & Ben Mac). These are done to promote our night Bootleg which is quickly spreading like wildfire around the country. We’ve got a party on at Ambar Nightclub tonight if you’re in the Perth area – come on down!

Second mix we have is from the man who puts the ‘D’ back into funk – D*Funk! Head honcho of Up:Start Music, one of the coolest labels to emerge in the past few years, and also a stalwart on labels such as Westway and Manmade Recordings, D*Funk is a force to be reckoned with and a nice guy to boot. Also he put one of my tunes in this mix hehe, but its packed full of other unreleased bombs from himself and others. Check it!

D*Funk has graciously given me a couple of the bootlegs he made for his recent tour of Australia. Doug Masters aka D*Funk is from Bournemouth in the UK and makes some seriously awesome breaks, house and nu-funk. And he’s a stand up guy to boot. I see big things in 2010 for this man.
